Lola Cafe - Tomas Morato is a popular dining spot located at 99 Scout Lozano St, Diliman, Quezon City, 1103 Metro Manila, Philippines. This charming cafe is well-known for its inviting ambiance, mouthwatering dishes, and friendly service, making it a go-to place for locals and tourists alike. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends, Lola Cafe offers an experience that caters to all your cravings.

Upon entering Lola Cafe, you are greeted by its cozy and modern interior, designed to make guests feel right at home. The cafe’s simple yet elegant decor, combined with warm lighting, creates a relaxed atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet meal. The casual vibe is enhanced by the friendly staff, always ready to assist with recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of delightful.

The menu at Lola Cafe offers a wide range of options that showcase Filipino flavors with a modern twist. One of the standout dishes is their adobo, a traditional Filipino dish with tender pork or chicken marinated in a savory blend of soy sauce, vinegar, and spices. It’s cooked to perfection, with the meat absorbing all the rich flavors of the marinade. If you're in the mood for something more indulgent, the crispy pata (deep-fried pork leg) is a crowd favorite. Its crispy skin and tender meat make it a must-try, especially when paired with their homemade atchara (pickled papaya).

For those looking for lighter fare, Lola Cafe also offers a variety of salads and seafood dishes. The bangus belly, a Filipino milkfish dish, is expertly prepared, offering a perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. The fresh tomato and mango salad is a refreshing side dish that adds a tangy contrast to the heavier meats on the menu, making it a great accompaniment to any main course.

One of the highlights of Lola Cafe is its commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which ensures that every dish is packed with authentic flavors. Whether you’re savoring a comforting bowl of sinigang (sour soup) or indulging in a rich laing (taro leaves in coconut milk), you can expect the freshest ingredients to shine through in every bite.

Aside from the food, the drinks at Lola Cafe deserve a mention. Their selection of local beverages, including refreshing sago't gulaman (a Filipino drink made with tapioca pearls and sweet syrup), perfectly complements the savory dishes. For those with a sweet tooth, Lola Cafe offers indulgent desserts, such as their ube cheesecake-a delightful fusion of traditional Filipino ube (purple yam) and the classic cheesecake. It's a great way to end your meal on a sweet note.

Lola Cafe’s prime location in Tomas Morato also makes it a convenient stop for those exploring the area. Whether you're in the mood for a casual brunch or a more formal dinner, the cafe’s versatility makes it a great choice for any occasion. It’s an ideal spot for gatherings, family celebrations, or even a quiet dinner for two.

What truly sets Lola Cafe apart is its ability to blend traditional Filipino flavors with contemporary dining trends. This fusion makes it a unique addition to the growing culinary scene in Metro Manila. The restaurant constantly innovates, ensuring that there's always something new to try while staying true to the roots of Filipino cuisine.

• Really nice cafe parking is a bit limited so be warned. The food all tasted good but the servings were a bit small even the sharing options which were pricey compared to the size of the serving — I would allocate 1k per person to be safe. Overall though my family had a nice time and the staff were absolutely excellent. The cheesecakes were lovely especially the ube one! Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping me charge my phone and for being accommodating and friendly throughout. The loos were not flushing btw so just be prepared….

  • Had a wonderful dining experience at Lola Café – Tomas Morato branch! The food was delicious — especially the Pansit Litson, Salmon Belly Sininigang sa bayabas, Beef Kare-kare and garlic baby squid! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Huge thanks to Sir JM, Grace, Andrei, and Christian for their amazing service! They were all super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. It really made the experience extra special. Definitely one of the best spots in Tomas Morato for great Filipino food and excellent service. Highly recommended!

  • 5 Star Review for the following reasons 1. Atmosphere was inviting and cozy 2. Food was terrific, namely, truffle pasta, kare kare, chicken on sticks (forgot what the dish was called), cesar salad 3. Service was delightful and efficient 4. Plenty of parking spaces Comments for improvement - they should provide a restroom on the ground floor for convenience of senior citizens Overall, an awesome dining experience. I woukd definitely recommend going here to enjoy an intimate and delicious dining experience.

  • I dined here last month, and until now I can’t forget how the food tastes like, especially their alugbati and kesong puti salad. I was eating alone yet they accommodated me well. I had a good experience with Lola Cafe. The salad stood out for me the most, because it was innovative for using alugbati. From the greens, to the sliced beets, to the balsamic vinaigrette, everything was delicious. The baby squid dish was fresh, and savory with a little kick. I had to take it home for my family to try. Sauce is definitely good for fried rice. Aligue pasta is somewhat underwhelming because I was expecting more. It reminds me of palabok. The shrimp is crispy in the outside which added texture to the dish, but it’s dry inside. The dish is still good though.

  • Absolutely loved our time at Lola Cafe. We came in early and sat down for brunch. This restaurant is PWD friendly as my Mom is in a wheelchair. My Mom and I were charmed by the interiors, and the food! Ordered Bangus ala Pobre, Roastbeef, baked scallops, fresh lumpia and mango cheesecake for dessert. I also ordered Chori burger to bring home. Food was divine! The dessert and the restaurant provided a nice backdrop for my handmade mixed media cards spread. And your waiters were very attentive and courteous. Oh most certainly we will be back again.

  • Filipino cuisine but with a twist. Galing. We ordered a couple of appetizers - gambas, chipirones, baked scallops then mains - pork sinigang with red tamarind, coconut chopseuy, fried pompano, alugbati and kesong puti, and shakes - peach mango. Really really good food. Value for money. The staff are nice, attentive and fun. Thank you Grace for your attention to our family and assisting me in giving the birthday cake to my mom. Thank you to our instant choir/back up singers - JM, Andrei and Angel. Thank you for supporting the mini surprise for my mom.

  • LOLA Cafe - Tomas Morato is one of the locations of LOLA Cafe, offering a variety of modern Filipino cuisine and fusion dishes. It is situated at 99 Scout Lozano St, Diliman, Quezon City. We tried some of their dishes like Kare-Kare Bagoong Rice, Chicken Sisig, Sinigang na baboy sa bayabas and Ube Keso de bola Cheesecake. The Cafe is also known for its intimate celebration packages, making it a great choice for events like birthdays and anniversaries. All the staffs that we encountered are all polite and smiling. They are under renovation. We've been here November 13, 2025.
